At Nomms, they got this part figured out almost perfectly, right down to every crisp and crust on their brown, crunchy fried chicken! Pressure-frying! Submerged in cooking oil, their fresh-off-the-market chicken is put under air-tight conditions in a pressure-fryer. Basically, it’s deep-frying, with the vital difference in that the product being fried is sealed from the outside world, which allows for pressure to build up on the inside.

We picked the Flavor the month which is Tomyam now!. The sizes of the chicken pieces were quite decent, especially considering the price. Like any tasty fried chicken, the flavours are concentrated at the skin part. The chickens were tender and juicy when eaten hot. The fragrant and flavours from the skin was quite tasty as well. We felt everything tasted “real” as opposed to artificial flavours which can be found in most fast food chains.

Every three months, they’ll have a change in their ‘flavour of the month’ to spice things up! Why, however, is it called flavour of the month if it’s for the length of three months? Beats me. All I know is that for this month, their salted egg chicken is one of the best fried chickens present in the market! Yes, Nomms has that burger that everyone loves — all meat, no bread! Their ‘Double Trouble’ comes in two different variants — Original, and Spicy. The Original is stacked first with a fillet of original fried chicken, followed lettuce, cheese sauce, hash brown, more cheese sauce, and topped off with another fillet of original fried chicken!

Burgers are always a must for us hence we also tried the Fried Chicken Burger (RM17). It’s stacked with a thick chicken patty and lettuce. The chicken patty is addictively crunchy which compliments the soft buns well. The portion size of the burger is satisfying, we especially loved that patty to bun ratio. Simply put, the Fried Chicken Burger at Nomms is the BOMB.
Pasta Tomyum with Fried Chicken Chop RM 16.90
Fusion of Thai and Western cuisine is certainly something interesting. Pasta tossed into a pan with garlic, onions, seasoning and infused with Tomyam paste. Sided with a crispy and juicy fried chicken chop.

If you’re looking for a healthier alternative, you can opt for the Wrap. This dish was filled with boneless fried chicken pieces, lettuce and other veggies topped with their signature sauce. We found this to be filling and flavourful, the crunchiness from the lettuce and flavours from the sauces and fried chicken made this an enjoyable dish.
