We all know that great Thai food can be found in the most humbly shop-houses. So if you had travelled a long Petaling Jaya area and wish to treat your to something more sophisticated and authentic, then you definitively got to try out Jatujak"Siam Bangkok Street Food" which located in the heart of Ara Damansara slightly further away from the glamorous Oasis Square area. Jatujak"Siam Bangkok Street Food" mainly focuses on serving finely pick Bangkok Street Food which lies on the street of Siam, Thailand all cooked from freshly daily ingredient and some even imported all the way from Thailand itself with 100% no MSG added. I suppose you could call it a hidden gem and and once you’ve discovered this gem you’ll want to come back for more!!
Being located at this part of PJ with little else going has its benefits, especially when it comes to parking. The shop itself too get to occupy quite a decent alfresco area since there isn’t any other competition nearby, which all translate to a good start to any dining experience.

1.Main Course

Fried Glass Noodle(BIG) RM 39.00
Fried glass noodle or also known as pad woon sen in Thailand. Stir fried glass noodle with finest ingredients like lime, fish sauce, ginger, spring onion, red Thai chili, cilantro, tomatoes, carrot, prawns and fresh chopped squid. Overall was a mind blowing meal, totally delicious with aromatic fragrance plus essential of Thai species.

Crab Fried Rice(M) RM 29.00
It might look simple, a combination of eggs, lime, crab meat, spring onion, shallots, garlic, rice and etc put into a wok and fried with passion still golden color. There's crab meat in every bite and I love how isn't not oily at all.

Lime Steam Siakap Fish RM 68.00
One of Jatujak Signature dish which is their Lime steam siakap fish with dense sauce (or more like a soup) made with lots of fresh lime juice, garlic, parsley and chilies steam with tender Siakap fish to perfection. It’s a marvelous Thai steamed fish dish, and being sour, spicy, garlicky, and well balanced in taste, it’s a Thai dish that really portrays the contrast and excitement of flavors in Thai food.

Prawn Glass Noodle RM 49.00
I personally like this dish which has touch of tomyam and finest stir-fried with pork, humongous prawn, glass noodle, and etc. They texture is alittle more dry and sticky compare to the fried glass noodle but the flavour is devastating. Strong and mouth-watering, and the portion was just nice for 1 person.

Mushroom Salted Egg RM 28.00
Next you definitely got to try their salted egg mushroom, at the first bite even me couldn't tell if's a mushroom or fish or chicken or pork because the texture and flavour is just superb and unique plus they also added some curry leave for enhancement. Not very crispy hard but indeed fluffy and has this pop sound in every bite.

GreenCurry Pork RM 35.00
At Jatujak, they served some authentic green curry and premium seafood tomyam but we ended up ordering their greencurry pork. Tenderly slices of pork meat boil with  fish sauce, lime, garlic clove, fresh basil, spring onion, chopped Thai chili, fresh root ginger, coconut shoot and secret imported Thai green curry paste.  I believe they did not add any sugar or coconut milk into but it still taste so delicious and creamy.

Seafood Yellow Curry Powder RM 45.00

Pucuk Paku Sambal RM 18.00
Fresh Pucuk Paku or also known as fern in english stir fried with sambal belacan, onions, chili, nuts, garlic and etc plus there's no MSG added so it tasted a little bitter.
It might looks spicy but is just mild tasting.
2. Finger Food

 Moo Ping RM 16.00
The ultimate street food on a stick! BBQ Pork Skewers(moo ping). At Jatujak, every moo ping is made from scratch to end product plus they use charcoal to barbecue each moo ping at a time to kept its moisture and flavorful. Absolutely tender and juicy, even 1 plate wouldn't be enough!!

 Prawn Cake RM 28.00
Freshly granted minced prawn cover with season flour, deep fried still golden crispy brown. Another must try finger food on the menu which's such a delicacies dish to be serve. It's so meaty in every bite and you taste the true species of Thai.

 Pandan Chicken RM 19.00
Perfectly marinated chicken wrapped with pandan leaf and put to deep fried. Overall the chicken was tender and juicy but a little too salty and lack of some sauce flavor.

3. Dessert

Tum Tim Krob "Red Ruby Water-chest Nut"
While at Jatujak, you definitely wouldn't want to miss out their Thai dessert Red Ruby water chest nut!! Tub Tim Grob is a cold and refreshing dessert that is commonly used by Thais to cool down on a hot day. The “gems” are chopped water chestnuts covered in potato flour, which are boiled and served with a sweet coconut milk and crushed ice. The flour causes the water chestnuts to be coated in a jelly making them soft on the outside and crunchy on the inside. Combined with the sweet coconut milk and crushed ice, this is a super refreshing dessert/drink hybrid recipe that is tasty and perfect for hot days.

Mango Sticky Rice RM 10.00
Mango sticky rice is a traditional Thai dessert made with glutinous rice, fresh mango and coconut milk, and eaten with a fork, spoon, or sometimes the hands.
4. Beverages
 Singha RM 15.90
I'm not a beer kind of person but at Jatujak, they do serve one of Thailand most branded and famous beer which is the Singha Thai Beer. Smoothing profile and not so gassy.

 Thai Coffee RM 5.50
I personally will pick the Thai coffee over the Thai Milk Tea to be honest because so much flavourful and rich.
Traditionally, Thai Coffee or also known as oliang in Thai is brewed with a tungdtom (Thai coffee filter), a tea/coffee sock with a metal ring and handle to which a cotton cloth bag is attached, It is also used for making Thai tea. To make Thai coffee, put the oliang into the coffee sock and pour boiling water through it into a carafe. Let the bag steep for approximately 10 minutes until strong. Oliang is sometimes served with condensed milk, or with a small pitcher of evaporated milk, and one of simple syrup with which the drinker can sweeten the oliang to their taste.

Thai Milk Tea RM 5.50
