[Best Coffee in Kuala Lumpur!!]
How do you define whether if the cup of coffee you're having is good or bad? A good cup of coffee doesn't really rely on the machine used or how beautiful is the coffee art is presented. It all about the flavour profile, texture, smoothness of the milk/milk foam and temperature. How do you know if you're cup of coffee tasted bad? That's the feeling when a sip grips you by the sides of your tongue. More signs of bad coffee: staleness, which I describes as coffee with a smell of rancid oil, and lacking in flavour and aromatics!!
Is pretty hard to get a really good cup of coffee in Kuala Lumpur even-tough there's like 60 cafes in KL itself. Luckily today my boss invited me for breakfast at this modern classic cafe named Common Man Coffee Roasters which located in the golden triangle at TTDI's Plaza Vads. The moment I walked in, I definitely knew that this place was another Instagram worthy/Instagrammable cafe to do list. Authentic and unique interior design plus beautiful natural lighting leading into he cafe. Perfect for photographer.

The dining area occupying a large space with different seating arrangement. The chic wooden furnishing speak sophistication, accentuated by yellowish dim lighting. Took center stage of the interior is the long oval shape coffee bar with brass elements at the center of the cafe where the patrons can get some baristas’ actions.
Banquette seats near the window undoubtedly the most popular seating for its ample of sunlight which is ideal for food photography. (I wish I can be seated there too ~>_<~) The modern interior is framed by wooden tables and chairs, patterned cushioned stool, geometric metal furnishing as well as greenery at outdoor.
CMCR is known for its all-day brunch menu such as Common Man Full Breakfast, Egg Benedict, Brioche French Toast, Croissant Croque Monsieur and etc, and of course their coffee. They also serve lunch from 11.00am to 5.30pm with quite limited choices of salads, pasta, burger and sandwich.

The huge plate was fully loaded with free-range organic eggs (in any style), steaky beef, smoked chicken sausage, confit herbed tomato, vegetable rosti, minted sour cream, wild mushrooms and honey rye bread. The portion was definitely enormous which is good enough two small eater or a very filling portion for one.
Grilled Juicy “Chilli” Boneless Chicken RM39
It comes with a beautiful hash of crushed avocado salsa, frisse salad and caramelised lemon. Three very generous pieces of breast are tastily marinated in a mix of garlic, chilli and thyme, bashed to tenderize, marinated for 24 hours, and lastly semi-sous vide before grilling. It’s a gluten-free option and probably fits a Paleo diet too.

Food Review : Overall was not bad , love the japanese onion salad, french beans , sauteed shimeji mushrooms with shallot & celeriac confit but the fish wasn't fresh .
2.Breakfast/Light Meal

Berries compote, maple syrup and premium vanilla ice cream served with a soft and fluffy french toasted bread. Overall was perfect in term of taste and presentation, maple syrup wasn't too sweet and the bread was crispy on the sides and gentle in the inside.

Mozzarella Cheese stuffed with smoked chicken ham, dijon mustard and creamy bechamel sauce served with house green salad
Quinoa Salad RM27
Quinoa Salad (RM27) comes with crispy grilled kumara, spinach, coriander, mint goat’s cheese and honey-raisin yoghurt. You can add chicken (+ RM10) or prawns (+ RM12) for additional protein, but you should know that quinoa is one of the richest sources of protein available in the plant world (so those extras are really not necessary). Beetroot gives it an attractive natural red hue, and, cumin and black pepper boast a mild kick.
Spiced Chicken Mac and Cheese (RM 26.00)
Served with crispy pita chips, the Mac and Cheese was adequately rich and cheesy Parmesan and Halloumi gratinee as well as generous amount of chicken ham. The addition of sweet Spanish onion cut through the richness of the dish and the flavors blended together in perfect harmony. Sam dug into her ooey-gooey cheesy pasta with gusto however the portion was too big for her
