Lunch today at the newly opened vegetarian/vegan cafe, Brown Poodle, located at 80 Persiaran Midlands, Pulau Tikus. Open Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm. They have a small but delicious menu which includes burgers, spaghetti, curry rendang rice and their signature mac and cheese. Coffee, tea, cold beverages as well as a range vegetarian and vegan cakes, brownies, muffins and cookies are also on the menu.
A decent veggie burger is hard to find in Penang, but now you can have one here. We tried the Brown Poodle bagel burger platter (RM16) and the Black Poodle charcoal burger platter (RM18). This was delicious and extremely filling. The fries are air-fried so very healthy.
Easiest way to get there is turn down Jalan Mano (off Jalan Bagan Jermal) and is opposite the end of the road. Plenty of free parking.
