What is F&B Service?

You might not know or might know what is F&B service means, basically is about someone address as waiter or waitress carry out their duty in a cafe/restaurant/dessert shop or anything outlet related to food & drinks .

Food and Beverage Services can be broadly defined as the process of preparing, presenting and serving of food and beverages to the customers.The customer visits the premise to avail the food service. The premises are kept well-equipped and well-finished to attract customers to avail F&B service.

In different sector or premise of a cafe or restaurant do required different procedures and rules . If we disobey or make any mistakes, we will get out butt fired. 

Appearance Is Important in F&B service ?

Eventually yes, business is tough and challenging through out the world in food services so owners always think of something new or attractive to promote their business like hiring females only, getting sexy outfit for their workers to wear or some just went across the line just to get famous and earn more income at the end of the day which is bad .

• On Premise − Food is delivered where it is prepared. The customer visits the premise to avail the food service. The premises are kept well-equipped and well-finished to attract customers to avail F&B service.
  For example, restaurants, pubs, etc.
• Off Premise or Outdoor Catering − This kind of service includes partial cooking, preparation, and service at customer’s premises. It is provided away from the F&B Services provider’s base on the occasion of major events which call for a large number of customers.

Types of F&B Services Operations

There are two broad types of F&B Services operations −

• Commercial − In this case, F&B Services is the primary business. The most known commercial catering establishments are — hotels, all kinds of restaurants, lounges, cafeterias, pubs, clubs, and bars.
• Non-Commercial − Non-commercial operations are secondary businesses in alliance with the main business. These F&B services mainly cater to their consumers with limited choice of food and beverages. These establishments often run under contracts. For example, food and beverage services provided at hospitals, hostels, and prisons.

Answer is Yes,Food and beverages service plays an important role in the hospitality industry.How they dress and present himself/herself will give the first impressive to customer weather this is a place to dine-in .Waiter or waitress is job where not everyone is fit or capable of working as because it required lots of patient,tolerance and mentally prepared . 

No matter how rude or misbehaviour customer can be or act upon us, they will always be right because customer is always right .

After doing food blog for almost 2 years, I been really harsh on cafe/restaurant/shop services and food tasty giving unpleasant review as usual . So I decided to go undercover and low profile working part time at a cafe to experience F&B Life and I was really proud about it because in the same time I learn alot yet gaining information which I'm been looking for . The way we served costumer and time comes to lie to costumer is really important just to make them wait a little longer for their food or cheering them up .It wasn't easy to pleased every costumer who walk in but as a waiter we try out best which not every costumer really appreciate from their point of view still they step in our shoe which is a whole different level . Every time I dine in cafe or restaurant, they were given a certain amount to time to served the courses with quality standard which I eventually though was easy still I work as a waiter or barista. When they's not a lot people usually they able to maintain the quality and beautifully presentation before coming out of the kitchen but when it is peak hour, It was chaos. Making wrong order and things doesn't seem like the menu will eventually occur .  

As days to come, I make alot new friends here and met a couple nice costumer and lots of trouble maker . Oh well this is Life 

What's for lunch here in F&B line, we usually just eat whatever the kitchen cook for us and don't question. Each of us usually get a plate of white rice and grilled chicken with egg mix fried with chop pork sausages inside  and spring onion .
