Harta Intan Group of Companies (HIG) was started in 1997 and is mainly involved in the property development and construction sector, with offices in Penang (HQ) and in KL. The group has since diversified its capabilities and ventured into the food & beverage industry, hospitality industry and the education industry.Under the group’s food & beverage arm, HIG owns Arang Coffee in Bayan Lepas, The Twelve Cups café in Georgetown, Something Else Bistro & Bar in Bayan Lepas and Kum Kei, a Hong Kong-inspired eatery that offers premium roast meats and noodles, also located in Bayan Lepas.The group will add More by Arang Coffee to its list of outlets in August 2017 when the 200-seater café opens its doors to public at Livingston Tower inGeorgetown (Argyll Road).In 2015, HIG acquired local coffee & equipment supplier Forest Cloud Coffee Company and now works with the young team of creatives to help build the vibrant, growing coffee community in Penang.
