What is Dakgalbi or means?

Basically Dakgalbi or spicy stir-fried chicken is a popular Korean dish generally made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochujang-based (chili pepper) sauce with sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions, perilla leaves, and tteok (rice cake) on a hot plate. Although its name means chicken ribs, there is no rib meat in dak-galbi

It is a local specialty in the Korean city of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where dak-galbi originated. Because of its origin, the dish is also called Chunchŏn dak-galbi. It is said that dak-galbi appeared after the late 1960s as an inexpensive anju (food that is eaten while drinking) in small taverns on the outskirts of the city to replace the comparatively expensive gui dishes, which are grilled over charcoal. The dish spread to Chunchŏn's main districts, where the livestock industry thrives and offers fresh ingredients with no need for refrigeration. There is a street known as dak-galbi golmok (dak-galbi alley) that has a high concentration of dak-galbi restaurants.

It is also a popular dish for university students on a budget, as dak-galbi is relatively cheap and served in large portions. It earned the nickname "commoners' galbi" or "university student's galbi" back in the 1970s

The food at Mr.Dakgalbi Restaurant tasted rather disappointing and not as good as others review online. The food is expensive and portion wise is small . Warm and cozy environment with good services . Can give it a try !!

We order 2 pax Dakgalbi rice Set with cheese which cost RM 67.00 and 2 pax Dakgalbi noodle which cost RM 47.00 . The portion is really small and not enough to feed 6 people and the meat , tteok (rice cake) , can hardly find any LOL ..... The paste is less spicy compare to others Dakgalbi restaurant which I had try and pretty mild too .

Seafood Pancake RM17.00 , can't really taste any seafood seriously and is so expensive yet the flour they use is so fluffy and not crispy

Everyone is serve with a bowl of warm soup to clean your breath after eating

*It took me 2-3 hours to walk the whole Mall , is really big and many shops haven't launch . There will be a GSC cinema and some awesome food coming soon.

* My personal opinion and comments , The shops in Mytown & Sunway Velocity is almost the same . From cloths brands to F&B is 90% same . In order to attract consumes or costumers to your Malls is to have something Unit or Special which others can't provide . Parking still a Mess Ingress and Egress .
