Home town Steam Boat restaurant is a well know in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur . Mr. Heng Yock Seng from Pulau Ketam is the founders and initial owners of the well known “Home Town Steamboat Restaurant” in Kuala Lumpur . But currently now his sons Jack Heng Chun Jet (elder son) and Vincent Heng Chun Voon (younger son) is running the business which was passed down from their beloved father .
They have brunched out to few region in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor . Recently I went to the one located in Bukit Tinggi 2 , Klang . Pretty good location and a place full with food paradise . They not only serve steam boat itself but also many others dished such as fried lala , steam crab , fried chicken skin , fried mee hun crab , fried rice , and etc . Inside have air conditioner and outside don't . The price range is pretty normal and the food is not bad . I rate 7/10 stars .

What makes HomeTown Steamboat more special compare to others ? Well is the pumpkin porridge soup which you really can find anywhere else. As in the image above you can see before is yellow and after it really cooks up , it turn orange and the flavor is beyond words can describe . The texture is so smooth and sweet just make you want to have more. As for the plain soup and tomyam is kinda normal .
They serve many kind of sets for the steamboat and you can choose what you prefer but obviously the price is different .
Finally is the dessert , something which really impressed me after waiting for so long . I give them a extra credit for such brilliant idea and design for the finalist . Coco chocolate and white chocolate in the middle and fruits , biscuits, haze nuts and ice crams on the side for you to deep into the chocolates.
Bad comments for HomeTown Steamboat !!
1) It was raining while we eating and the roof is leaking which causes to have a bad meal and impression .
2) The staff took our orders wrongly and we have to pay for it .
3) Rude service and slow
